Hotel Repositioning
We acquired the former Hotel Londra & Cargill Rome in November 2021, and the property is located in central Rome just minutes from Via Vittorio Veneto, one of Rome’s most elegant and famous streets, a short walk from Piazza di Spagna and the Spanish Steps, Villa Borghese Gardens and Rome’s central station. Steeped in history dating back to the early 1900’s, the hotel on acquisition consisted of 101 rooms and suites, a restaurant, bar, meeting facilities and private parking.
The strategic decision was made to continue to operate the asset on acquisition for just under a year before closing the property for repositioning in July 2022.
Following extensive redevelopment works, the hotel will become art’otel Rome Piazza Sallustio - designed by award winning interior designers and featuring a signature artist akin to the heritage of the building. art'otel Rome Piazza Sallustio consists of 99 rooms, an art gallery, a destination restaurant and bar, leisure facilities and parking. The hotel is expected to reopen in summer 2024 and as a result of a carefully planned redevelopment programme is targeted to achieve “Good” BREEAM sustainability rating.
Società Immobiliare Alessandro De Gasperis S.r.l. will leverage PPHE Hotel Groups access to Radisson Hotel Groups which provides instant access to global distribution and booking platforms, reward programmes and customer databases and a wide range of other commercial benefits.
In addition, extensive marketing and PR campaigns are ongoing to drive the hotels awareness and subsequent success.
